I spent a decade building my life and identity around one glittering achievement: to create and produce my own TV show (aka: to become a showrunner).
But the blur of that tunnel vision was keeping me from seeing all the other ways I could use my skills to live a more fulfilling life. My career looked good on paper, but I was stuck in a version of success that didn't match my creative potential, waiting for others to validate my work. The only thing running the show around here was fear, perfectionism, and a level of self-doubt reserved for deeply creative humans.
It took many "all is lost" moments, a move to Brazil, career pivots, and more reinventions than I can count before the obvious became clear: the only thing worth this level of time, energy, and passion is my own damn life.
So I stopped chasing the title and started showrunning my life.
I expanded into marketing, copywriting, and community management. I started writing a book. I had my son. I built the multidimensional life I'd been longing for.
Now I help other displaced creatives connect the dots between their skills, stories, and experience so they can start producing a life that’s even better than the dream (or title) they once romanticized.
Without proving themselves or waiting for others to validate their talent.
